Volumez, a pioneering force in modern cloud data infrastructure, has taken a significant step by joining the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. This move brings new data infrastructure performance and resilience to customers, offering innovative new economics starting with PostgreSQL databases.
Volumez enhances cloud data infrastructure
With Volumez now available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, users can leverage Volumez’s SaaS services to create direct Linux-based data paths using a simple interface for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute VMs.
Delivering improved performance and scalability
This approach bypasses traditional storage controllers, enabling higher and more predictable performance with 2.83 million IOPS, 135 microseconds ultra-low latency, and 16 GB/s throughput per volume, driving more transactions per second (TPS). High TPS combined with ultra-low latency drives greater revenue and ROI, improves customer experiences, provides data integrity, and allows for the real-time operations that modern applications demand.
Transforming database deployments
Building, deploying, and scaling databases and other data-intensive workloads on OCI with the Volumez composability service offers customers improved performance and latency and lower costs for both individual instances and large-scale deployments.
“Volumez is pushing what’s possible in terms of high IOPS and low latency by leveraging OCI’s unique high performance infrastructure capabilities. This enables Volumez to support even the most demanding PostgreSQL workloads,” said Rasmus Ekman, vice president of cloud engineering at Oracle. “This ensures that applications perform efficiently, leading to faster response times, improved user experiences, better informed decision-making, and streamlined operations.”
Joining the Oracle Cloud Marketplace marks a pivotal step for Volumez. With Volumez, organizations can achieve improved performance, resilience, and economic advantages in the cloud, enhancing their data management and infrastructure strategies.
